What can we expect from Stranger Things season 5, part 2?

Plot details are, understandably, being kept under wraps, but the war for Hawkins will presumably continue in the last four episodes, with Will’s newly discovered powers, the return of Linnea Berthelsen’s Kali, and Max’s parallel adventures factoring into proceedings.

Back in November 2023, the Duffer brothers spoke about the end of the project at a Netflix event, saying: “We have so many characters now, most of whom are still living, and it’s important to wrap up those arcs. A lot of these characters have been growing since season one, so it’s a balancing act between giving them time to complete their arcs and also tying up loose ends and doing our final reveals. We did [make] our executives cry [when pitching the arc to Netflix], which I felt was a good sign.”

In Millie Bobby Brown’s British Vogue December 2025 issue cover story, the actor also revealed that she began sobbing 20 pages into reading the script for the final episode. At the table read, she and her co-stars spontaneously embraced in a tear-sodden group hug. “We just all huddled and cried for five minutes straight,” she said. So, it’s clear that the show will conclude on a highly emotional note.
