A permanent fixture in Sex and the City – and, more recently, in the sequel And Just Like That – the house’s Baguettes became synonymous with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in the series. Fans of the show will recall her run-in with a robber in season three, when he threatened to take her beloved accessory, to which she responded: “It’s not a bag, it’s a Baguette.”
Bradshaw’s endorsement has fuelled the popularity of Fendi Baguettes, subsequently attracting a younger generation of buyers. Among them: Gigi Hadid, who was recently spotted carrying a floral mini Baguette in Bradshaw’s native New York. The supermodel’s cheery bag offset her grungy charcoal jeans and black vintage leather coat, while she kept cosy in a beanie from her own brand, Guest In Residence, which specialises in knitwear.
Gigi and her sister Bella own several Baguettes between them, gravitating towards quirky embroidered and embellished styles that Carrie would be proud of. As for Gigi’s latest floral version? The Sex and the City star would certainly approve.
