Cos is a go-to brand among team Vogue. Renowned for its great everyday basics, spanning both the women’s and men’s departments, the high-street stalwart is a permanent fixture in editors’ wardrobes. On any given day in the Vogue offices, you’ll spot a boxy Cos tee or jumper – shopping director of Europe, Naomi Smart, is currently wearing the humble grey funnel-neck cashmere sweater on repeat. “Cos knitwear has seen me through several harsh UK winters,” she asserts. “Even in the lead-up, when the weather hasn’t been cold enough for a thick jacket, I’ve turned to the retailer’s jumpers as an easy layer to wear beneath a blazer.”

Shopping editor Joy Montgomery is another Cos loyalist. “The high street really has stepped it up a notch in recent years, and Cos has led the charge when it comes to well-made staples, making it a go-to during sale season,” she explains. “The brand’s wool coats are a firm favourite amongst the Vogue team, as are its jeans.”
Luckily, knitwear, denim and outerwear all feature in this year’s Cos sale, which kicked off ahead of Black Friday and now continues into Cyber Monday. While the initial sale saw items reduced by up to 20 per cent across women’s and men’s clothing, accessories and footwear, the remaining pieces are up to 50 per cent off, for a limited time only.
Naturally, Cos fans have been quick to jump on standout items, with sizes selling fast. But there’s still plenty to see: a wool shearling-collar coat, that’ll see you through this harsh winter and beyond, an equally-cosy wool car coat, a checked flannel shirt – which was a hero piece worn by attendees at New York Fashion Week – and several pairs of tailored trousers. Footwear-wise, minimal leather trainers, riding boots, mules and ballet flats are all among the discounted shoes, while there are also an abundance of bags, including a supple suede bowling bag.
